Job Description
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. NH Maldives Kuda Rah & Minor Hotels employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
- Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
- Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols.
- Effectively inform and educate our guests about specific wellness concerns.
- Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa.
- Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
- Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and Procedures.
- Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required.
- Actively promote the spa, treatments, services and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
- Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests.
- Possess the ability to work without direct supervision.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
- Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
- Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
- Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.
- Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge.
- Must be a team player.
- To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the company’s policy and procedures
- To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the company’s policy related to fire, hygiene, health and safety
Qualifications
- Professional Certificate or Diploma in Spa Therapy, Beauty Therapy, or a related wellness field.
- Internationally recognized certifications such as CIBTAC, CIDESCO, or ITEC will be considered a strong advantage.
- Minimum two (2) years of practical experience working in a spa or wellness environment, preferably in a luxury resort or hotel setting.
- Sound knowledge of spa treatments including body massages, facials, body scrubs, and wellness therapies.
- Good understanding of spa hygiene standards, guest care, and professional treatment protocols.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong customer service skills, professional appearance, and a calm, welcoming demeanor.
- Physically fit and able to perform treatment duties for extended periods.
- Must currently hold a similar role to the position being applied for.
- Must possess qualifications relevant to the position applied for.
- Must be able to provide verifiable and trackable professional references supporting the experience and role applied for.
