Job Description

Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort are looking for an enthusiastic and service-driven Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.

In this key leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and event spaces, ensuring guests enjoy first-class service and presentation every time. You’ll lead by example, inspire your team, and work closely with the kitchen to maintain our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the smooth and efficient daily operations of the restaurant and bar.
  • Promote the resort’s food and beverage offerings with strong knowledge of menus and features.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen during service to ensure high-quality food and presentation.
  • Lead, mentor, and support Food & Beverage Attendants, including training and development.

Shift Details (subject to change)

  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts.
  • Rotating roster across Monday through Sunday.
  • Split shifts may be required on some days.

Qualifications

To be a success in this position, you will have:

  • Previous supervisory experience (12+ months) in a similar role.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a restaurant or hotel environment.
  • A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a positive, guest-focused attitude.
  • High levels of self-motivation, initiative, and confidence.
  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar (preferred but not essential).
  • Solid knowledge of alcohol and beverage service (preferred but not essential).
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
