Job Description
- Create and produce a wide range of bakery and pastry items including
- Croissants (classic, filled, and creative variations)
- Breads (sourdough, brioche, focaccia, baguettes)
- Cakes and cake batters (sponge, chiffon, pound, and layered cakes)
- Cookies, muffins, brownies, and bars
- Tarts, eclairs, choux pastry, and mille-feuille
- Seasonal and custom-designed baked products
- Innovate and test new recipes with a focus on creativity, presentation, and taste
- Ensure consistency in product quality and adherence to brand standards
- Supervise daily operations of the bakery and pastry section
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold food safety and hygiene protocols
- Monitor ingredient levels, manage ordering and inventory
- Lead and train junior staff to follow recipes and techniques correctly
- Collaborate with the management team on menu development and seasonal offerings
- Staying current and informed of useful culinary trends
- Ensure compliance with food safety & sanitation regulations
Qualifications
- Requires 4 years’ experience in a high volume/high quality pastry production kitchen
- Culinary diploma or professional pastry certification is preferred
- Candidate must have advanced knowledge of pastries and desserts, sanitation and cost control.
- The candidate must have the ability to manage all aspects of a pastry operation.
