Job Description

Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort are looking for enthusiastic, service-driven team members to join our newly refurbished property. We have multiple Food & Beverage positions available, including Food & Beverage Attendants, Assistant Bar Manager, and Restaurant Manager, across full-time and part-time positions.

This is your opportunity to be part of a sophisticated dining and bar experience with panoramic views over Lake Wakatipu and seasonal menus featuring New Zealand seafood, meats, and produce.

About the Venue:

  • Newly refurbished, upscale hotel food & beverage operation
  • Curated wine cellar featuring some of New Zealand’s finest wines
  • Seasonal menu by Chef Gerhard Gerber, focused on seasonal NZ produce

Available Positions:

1. Restaurant Manager 

  • Full-time | predominantly evening shifts
  • Lead daily restaurant and bar operations, coach and develop the F&B team
  • Manage rosters, workflow, service standards, and ensure operational excellence

2. Assistant Bar Manager

  • Full-time
  • Support daily bar operations, lead by example, and assist with team training and development
  • Oversee stock control, beverage ordering, compliance, and contribute to the cocktail & beverage menu

3. Food & Beverage Attendants

  • Full-time & part-time positions available
  • Deliver professional, friendly table service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Accurately take and process guest orders, demonstrate menu knowledge, and exceed guest expectations

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for enthusiastic, service-focused team members who are passionate about hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences. All candidates should have:

  • A warm, approachable, and professional attitude
  • Relevant experience in your chosen role (waitstaff, bar, or management)
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work across rotating rosters, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Working rights in New Zealand

Role-Specific Preferences:

  1. Restaurant Manager:
    Leadership experience, knowledge of NZ alcohol service; LCQ / Manager’s Certificate and Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred
     
  2. Assistant Bar Manager:
    Leadership experience in a high-end bar or restaurant; strong knowledge of wines, cocktails, and premium spirits; LCQ / Manager’s Certificate preferred
     
  3. Food & Beverage Attendants:
    Previous experience in a waitstaff or bartender role is advantageous
