Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane Hotel set to open in Q2 2026 will bring contemporary style and Laotian flair to the heart of the capital, just minutes from Wat Si Saket, Vientiane Night Market, and Chao Anouvong Park. The hotel’s 197 guest rooms and suites will blend modern design with local touches, offering its guests the choice of four dining venues, including an international all-day dining restaurant, a western comfort food concept and bar, and a Southeast Asian fine-dining restaurant. Guests will enjoy Avani Spa with five treatment rooms, an Avani Fit fitness centre and studio, an outdoor swimming pool, and versatile event spaces including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.
Job Description
As Hotel Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the pre‑opening and operational success of the Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane Hotel. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the property delivers exceptional service, strong financial performance, and a distinctive lifestyle‑driven guest experience.
Given the hotel’s signature dining concepts and elevated lifestyle positioning, we are seeking a leader with a strong Food & Beverage background who can elevate culinary experiences, ensure profitable F&B operations, and curate memorable social and dining moments for guests. This role requires a hands‑on, highly collaborative leader with a deep understanding of restaurant operations, bar programming, menu strategy, service flow, and commercial F&B performance.
You will directly oversee all hotel operations, including Rooms, F&B, Engineering and Spa/Wellness, in partnership with departmental leaders, ensuring brand standards, guest satisfaction, operational consistency, and pre‑opening readiness. You will also be involved in assisting to oversee Finance and Commercial departments.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee day‑to‑day hotel operations, including Rooms, F&B, Engineering and Recreation, ensuring smooth, consistent, and brand‑aligned service delivery.
- Lead F&B operations across multiple dining venues, supporting concept execution, menu development, beverage programming, quality control, and guest engagement.
- Drive a culture of warm, intuitive service that reflects the brand's modern, relaxed, premium lifestyle positioning.
Food & Beverage Excellence
- Provide close support in F&B to elevate culinary identity, revenue performance, and brand differentiation.
- Partner with the Executive Chef and Director of F&B to deliver consistent product quality, creative menu offerings, and operational efficiency across venues.
- Support the creation of signature dining and bar experiences to position the hotel as a leading social destination in Vientiane.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Support the General Manager in budgeting, forecasting, P&L oversight, cost management, and maximizing departmental contribution margins.
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management to strategically position the property and support strong market penetration and RevPAR performance.
- Analyze business trends and F&B performance metrics to drive innovation, efficiency, and profitability.
Pre‑Opening & Project Readiness
- Contribute to pre‑opening timelines, OS&E/FF&E procurement, recruitment, training, brand activation, and departmental setup.
- Implement operational SOPs, emergency procedures, and service standards in line with Minor Hotels and Avani requirements.
People & Culture
- Recruit, train, motivate, and mentor department leaders and line‑level teams, fostering a culture of performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Support the development of operational training programs to strengthen service delivery and team capability.
- Model professional behavior consistent with Minor Hotels’ culture of people development, innovation, and partnership.
Guest Experience & Brand Advocacy
- Champion exceptional guest experience across all touchpoints, responding promptly to feedback and ensuring effective service recovery.
- Cultivate relationships with guests, community partners, media, and business stakeholders to position the hotel as a vibrant local hub.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive hotel leadership experience, including significant F&B operational management within upscale or lifestyle‑driven hotels.
- Demonstrated experience in pre‑opening is highly preferred.
- Strong financial acumen with proven success in improving profitability, implementing cost controls, and optimizing operations.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills with the ability to inspire large, diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of culinary trends, beverage programming, and service standards aligned with modern lifestyle brands.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders effectively, including owners, corporate teams, and local partners.
- Passion for hospitality, design‑driven environments, and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Fluency in English and good conversational knowledge in either Lao or Thai required.
- Previous relevant experience in Southeast Asia strongly preferred.
