Job Description

We are excited to invite passionate and skilled chefs to join the culinary teams at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and Elysia Wellness Retreat, located in the heart of the Hunter Valley.

With multiple opportunities available across both properties, this is your chance to grow your career in stunning resort and wellness environments that value quality, teamwork, and professional development.

Available Roles

We are currently recruiting for the following chef positions across full-time and casual employment:

  • Junior Sous Chef
  • Chef de Partie
  • Commis Chef

About the Roles

Depending on your level and experience, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality food in line with brand and menu standards
  • Support daily kitchen operations, including preparation, service, and presentation
  • Work collaboratively within a professional and supportive kitchen team
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and workplace cleanliness
  • Contribute to a positive, efficient, and guest-focused kitchen culture

Qualifications

About You

  • Relevant trade qualifications (or working towards for Commis roles)
  • Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or high-volume kitchen environment (preferred)
  • A strong work ethic with a passion for fresh, high-quality food
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
