Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane Hotel set to open in Q2 2026 will bring contemporary style and Laotian flair to the heart of the capital, just minutes from Wat Si Saket, Vientiane Night Market, and Chao Anouvong Park. The hotel’s 197 guest rooms and suites will blend modern design with local touches, offering its guests the choice of four dining venues, including an international all-day dining restaurant, a western comfort food concept and bar, and a Southeast Asian fine-dining restaurant. Guests will enjoy Avani Spa with five treatment rooms, an Avani Fit fitness centre and studio, an outdoor swimming pool, and versatile event spaces including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

Job Description

As Events Manager, you will be one of the principal pillars of the hotel and responsible for driving the success of the hotel’s Meetings, Events, and Social business. You will lead and manage event sales activities, ensuring strong revenue performance while positioning Avani+ as a premium and preferred event destination in the market.

This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to business development, client relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration, particularly with Operations, F&B, and Culinary teams. You will play an important role during the pre-opening phase and beyond.

You will report directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute event sales strategies in line with the hotel’s Sales & Marketing plan to maximize revenue and market penetration
  • Proactively source, negotiate, and contract new meetings, events, weddings, and social business
  • Position Avani+ as a premium event venue through strong client engagement and tailored event solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key event organizers, corporate clients, agencies, and partners
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to identify and convert event opportunities from existing hotel accounts
  • Conduct client meetings, site inspections, sales calls, and client entertainment
  • Prepare and manage event sales forecasts in collaboration with the Director of Revenue
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing strategies within the MICE segment
  • Maintain accurate event calendars, sales reports, and pipeline tracking
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, F&B, and Culinary teams to ensure seamless event execution and high-quality guest experiences
  • Support pre-opening initiatives, sales blitzes, trade shows, and market activations
  • Contribute to the development of creative event concepts and value-added offerings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Events / MICE sales experience in a 5-star or international hotel brand
  • Proven track record in achieving event revenue targets
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about hospitality and events
  • Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English, Lao, and Thai
  • Local Laos / Vientiane market knowledge preferred
  • Southeast Asia market experience required
