Job Description
Occupational Health & Safety Officer provide safety management, advice, monitoring, and reporting in the workplace, and engage team member in programs that ensure safe practice in the workplace. Occupational Health & Safety Officer will compile safety programs and standardize them to remain consistent, as well as share best practice techniques at regular team member meetings. Occupational Health & Safety Officer must stay updated with the latest trends in health and safety, and consistently implement these practices in the workplace. Ultimately, Occupational Health & Safety Officer will maintain compliance with all safety regulations and ensure that every team member complies with the regulated standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Compile safety programs.
- Practice safe working techniques
- Implement and maintain health and safety standards
- Establish a cordial and professional relationship with team members
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations
- Conduct regular team member meetings to share best practice techniques.
- Standardize health and safety in order to remain consistent
- Promote safety initiatives
- Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance
- Document team member information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in related Occupational Health and Safety
- Registration as a Occupational Health and Safety Officer
- Valid competency certificates
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in this position.
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Good in communication and human relations skill, mature and proactive
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications
