Job Description
The Role:
- To manage the full delivery lifecycle, taking a project from conception through implementation within the MicroStrategy platform to delivery and sign-off; whilst maintaining engagement with MicroStrategy technical consultants, customers’ business users, technical architects, and application designers
- Work with customers to gather requirements, writing functional and technical specifications and communicating technical requirements to clients and internal technical team(s) or partners.
- Manage, scope, and demonstrate strong consistent operational excellence in the execution of projects with some of our most strategic customers
- Use effective project management techniques to deliver projects on time and within budget whilst managing risks and issues
- Confidently present and articulate the business value of the MicroStrategy platform at all levels
- Develop strong relationships and become a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction
- Engage with existing customers in shaping direction and technology strategy that enables future MicroStrategy sales opportunities
- Work with internal MicroStrategy teams as required to develop solutions, tactical responses, raise project risks and strategic visioning for customers
- Provide assurance in solution design and delivery to ensure it meets outcomes and customer expectations
- Manage multiple customers and lead several business consulting engagements using strong facilitation skills to leverage internal and external resources

Project Delivery:
- Delivers billable consulting services
- Efforts may be directed toward various MicroStrategy and / or supporting products and services
- Develops an awareness of the competitive landscape including key differentiators and competitive positioning
- Provides critical and constructive guidance to customers, steering them towards a long-term vision for success
- Leverages MicroStrategy best practices for service delivery
- Applies project management methodology effectively in a wide variety of situations, and adapts methodology to new situations
- Experience with agile methodologies for project management (SCRUM)
Customer Management:
- Develops customer relationship and expectation management skills by independently working with customers
- Communicates effectively with team members both internally and with customers
Technical Excellence:
- Participates in implementation activities Leverages technical competence and implementation experience to develop functional and technical application design skills
Team Development:
- Shares expertise and experience with junior team members
Required Experience and Skills:
- Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology: RDBMS, Web, Client/ Server, and OLAP
- Working knowledge of specialized BI tools and solution providers (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Looker, Power BI, Cognos etc.) and understanding of the Business Intelligence and SaaS marketplace. Specific experience with MicroStrategy a major plus
- Extensive experience of business consulting with Cloud SaaS and on-premise business applications or software platform deployments in large enterprises
- Good understanding of data transformation and ETL processes
- Experience with scripting technologies such a SQL would be advantageous
- Ability to effectively conduct requirements gathering, meet with business owners, perform current state analysis, and manage customer expectations and project deliverables
- Proven ability to engage with senior leadership as a trusted advisor before, during and after a project
- Proven track record of presenting complex development/technical topics to both business and IT users
- Proven ability to navigate data and technical conversations
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement

- Degree educated (business, technical or related field) or equivalent academic/work experience
