Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing
As a key player in our reliability team, you’ll help ensure our nation’s lights stay on—sustainably! You’ll use your engineering prowess to keep some of the most important power generation sites in the country performing at their best.
Bring your initiative and engineering know-how to enhance our maintenance systems, processes, and methodologies. You’ll harness asset data to predict and prevent failures, boost efficiency, and increase the share of renewables on the national grid.
This role offers the freedom to lead your own initiatives while being backed by a collaborative, high-performing team. You’ll regularly travel to Meridian sites across Aotearoa to connect with stakeholders and understand their needs firsthand.
Base yourself in Wellington, Christchurch, or Twizel, and we'll consider other locations. Wherever you are, you could be part of a mission that matters.

Ngā pukenga kei a koe mō tenei tūranga | What you’ll bring
Engineering Degree, relevant diploma or equivalent qualification.
A great attitude and excellent soft skills that enable you to interact effectively and harmoniously with other people.
Prior experience in Reliability Engineering, plant maintenance in heavy engineering or production environments, preferably in the power generation industry.
You'll enjoy being a problem solver and have experience with fault finding and failure analysis in complex engineering situations.
It’s essential that you’re a good communicator and able to simplify technical information and feel comfortable learning new tools and systems.
