Job Description
At MEDFAR, the Senior Account Executive – Public & Parapublic Sector is a strategic leader responsible for driving growth across Canada’s public healthcare ecosystem. This role is focused on developing new business opportunities, navigating complex procurement environments, and building long-term partnerships with public and parapublic institutions.
Operating across multiple provinces, you will develop deep expertise in regional healthcare systems, procurement frameworks, and stakeholder landscapes. You will position MEDFAR, and our MYLE platform, as a trusted, long-term partner supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
Following a structured onboarding program covering MEDFAR’s products and services, your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales & Growth
- Drive net-new business and expansion within public and parapublic healthcare organizations.
- Build, manage, and optimize a high-quality pipeline of complex, strategic opportunities.
- Maintain a balanced pipeline supporting both short-term wins and long-term growth.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Value Selling
- Clearly articulate MYLE’s value proposition to diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership, clinicians, IT, and procurement teams.
- Build and nurture long-term, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers.
- Position MEDFAR as a strategic partner within institutional ecosystems.
- Consultative & Solution-Oriented Approach
- Act as a subject matter expert on public sector needs and digital transformation.
- Advise organizations using a consultative sales approach aligned with their operational and strategic priorities.
- Identify and develop expansion opportunities (cross-sell, upsell, multi-site deployments).
- Public Sector Procurement & RFP Leadership
- Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality responses to RFPs and public tenders across multiple provinces.
- Navigate complex procurement cycles, governance structures, and evaluation processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams (deployment, product, finance, R&D, customer success) to design tailored solutions.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to support client acquisition and long-term success.
- Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership
- Monitor market trends, regional dynamics, and emerging opportunities across assigned territories.
- Share insights and best practices internally, contributing to MEDFAR’s public sector strategy.
- Represent MEDFAR at conferences, industry events, and professional networks.
- Risk Management & Strategic Execution
- Anticipate and manage risks related to budget cycles, procurement timelines, and internal stakeholder dynamics.
- Adapt strategies to successfully navigate complex buying environments.
- Additional responsibilities as required
Qualifications
Ideally, you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 5–7+ years of proven success in complex B2G (business-to-government) sales.
- Strong understanding of Canadian public sector procurement processes (multi-province experience is an asset).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Proven track record of developing and expanding strategic accounts.
- Strong ability to anticipate risks and navigate long decision cycles and governance structures.
- Experience acting as a trusted advisor or subject matter expert in public sector environments.
- High attention to detail, particularly in formal procurement and RFP processes.
- Excellent relationship-building and active listening skills.
- Strong interest in technology and experience selling software solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (French is a strong asset).
- Solid understanding of public sector organizational structures and decision-making processes.
- Established network within Canadian public or parapublic healthcare organizations (strong asset).
Working Conditions
- Location: Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal or Vancouver
- Travel: Frequent travel across Canada (including overnight stays);
- Languages: English required; French is considered an asset
- Car and cellphone allowance are provided
- Candidates must have a car and a valid driver's license.
