Job Description
IPAR is looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team on the Gold Coast, with a strong focus on functional capacity and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assessments within the Occupational Rehabilitation sector.
Based in our Robina or Ballina office, you’ll manage a case load with a focus on Activities of Daily Living Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Initial Needs Rehabilitation Assessments across the workers compensation, DVA and CTP portfolios.
You’ll be joining a close-knit, supportive team that values collaboration, celebrates great client outcomes, and genuinely enjoys spending time together. You’ll also be part of a multidisciplinary environment, working alongside Psychologists, Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, and fellow Occupational Therapists.

What You’ll Be Doing
This role is ideal for an OT who enjoys applying clinical reasoning to real-world functional outcomes, particularly within the home and community.
- Conduct comprehensive ADL and functional assessments to evaluate an individual’s capacity across personal care, domestic tasks, and community participation
- Provide evidence-based recommendations for assistive technology, home modifications, and support services to enhance independence and safety
- Develop grading programs to promote independence
- Translate assessment findings into clear, high-quality reports with strong clinical justification
- Manage a structured caseload, supported by Rehabilitation Assistants to reduce administrative burden
- Support individuals with injury or health conditions to achieve optimal functional independence and sustainable return to work outcomes
- Liaise with employers, insurers, medical professionals, and stakeholders to ensure holistic and aligned rehabilitation plans
- Work across multiple schemes including Workers Compensation, CTP, Life Insurance, Comcare, and DVA

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
- Full Professional Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded however not essential
- Fabulous communication and time management skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders
- You are someone with compassion, kindness and empathy
- A current QLD Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must
