Job Description

The Position:

This is an onsite position 

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated InWork Support Consultant to join our team in our Peninsula region. As an InWork Support Consultant, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment goals and maintain successful work placements.

  • Provide personalized support to clients with disabilities in their workplace settings
  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients and employers to ensure smooth job integration
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to address individual client needs
  • Collaborate with employers to create inclusive work environments and make necessary accommodations
  • Assist clients in developing job-related skills and strategies for workplace success
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes and client records
  • Liaise with community partners, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support
  • Advocate for clients' rights and needs in the workplace
  • Stay informed about NDIS policies and local support services to provide relevant guidance
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of support services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field (preferred)
  • Certification in Disability Support (preferred)
  • Previous experience in disability support or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • In-depth knowledge of NDIS policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with local community resources and support services
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
