We are seeking skilled Pattern Makers to layout, machine, fit, and assemble castings and parts to metal or plastic foundry patterns, core boxes, or match plates. while exercising safety for oneself and others. Newly hired employees start at $31.86 per hour. We offer low rate medical insurance (Weekly rates $7.05 single - $20.31 family), life and AD&D insurance, short-term disability coverage, a Company-matched 401(K) plan, and ten (10) paid holidays. We offer employee-paid dental insurance. Employees are eligible for five (5) vacation days after six (6) months of continuous employment.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program.
- Set up and operate machine tools, such as milling machines, lathes, drill presses, sanders, spindle sanders, table saws, band saws, and radial saws.
- Read and interpret blueprints or drawings of parts to be cast or patterns to be made, compute dimensions, and plan operational sequences.
- Verify conformance of patterns or core box dimensions to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, scales, or micrometers.
- Make master patterns, working patterns, or core boxes according to instruction.
- Assemble pattern sections, using hand tools, bolts, screws, or glue.
- Repair and rework patterns and wooden core boxes.
- Layout and draw to scribe patterns onto material, using compasses, protractors, rulers, scribes, or other instruments.
- Sand and finish patterns, using emery cloths, files, scrapers, and power grinders.
- Constructs follow block, if needed, for molding master patterns.
- Mount and gate working pattern as instructed.
- Mark identification numbers or symbols onto patterns or templates.
- Must keep and maintain a neat and orderly workstation.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associates degree in a technical field or training in a vocational school preferred.
- Three to five years of related on-the-job experience required.
- Must furnish tools not provided by the Company.
