Job Description

As a Fleet Agent, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that aircraft cabins and crew spaces are clean, safe, and fully stocked between flights to support on-time departures and a comfortable environment for passengers and crew.  You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, safety, and attention to detail are essential. If you’re ready for a physically active role that makes a real impact, we want to hear from you. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize passenger cabins, including seats, seatback pockets, tray tables, armrests, overhead bins, carpets, and windows. 

  • Clean and disinfect lavatories and galleys; restock supplies such as soap, toilet paper, sanitary bags and towels. 

  • Empty trash receptacles in lavatories, galleys, and flight deck; ensure proper disposal of waste and handling of biohazard or spill clean-up using PPE and approved disinfectants. 

  • Restock cabin items such as pillows, blankets, magazines, amenity kits, and safety cards; maintain inventory of cleaning materials and cabin supplies. 

  • Operate, clean, and perform routine checks on cleaning equipment; report any equipment malfunctions or inventory shortages. 

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety standards and security procedures. 

  • Collaborate with ramp, catering, and cabin crew to align cleaning activities within tight turnaround schedules. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support McGee’s successful business operation. 

Qualifications

Required 

  • Must always demonstrate safe work habits. 

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test. 

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check. 

  • Ability to obtain & maintain an airport SIDA badge and US Customs seal. 

  • Ability to work any shift, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and Holidays. 

  • Lifting up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis. 

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken). 

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp. 

  • Ability to maintain reliable attendance. 

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with others. 

  • Ability to work at a constant and quick pace for up to two consecutive hours. 

  • Ability to understand and interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information. 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 

Preferred 

  • Experience in cleaning, preferably within aviation or hospitality environments. 

  • Knowledge of sanitization, disinfection, and proper use of cleaning chemicals & PPE. 

    Additional Information

    Physical Demands & Work Conditions 

    Lifting/Carrying: Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds or more. This often involves carrying supplies and equipment on stairs and into confined aircraft cabins. 

    Movement: 

    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and twisting for extended periods (up to 8-hour shifts or more). 

    • Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work in cramped or high places. 

    • Manual dexterity required for handling documents and operating equipment. 

    Vision/Hearing: Clear vision (including depth perception and peripheral vision) and hearing are required for monitoring flight information, communication via radio/headsets, and safety compliance in a noisy environment. 

    Outdoor Exposure: The job is performed in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow. 

    Noise and Environment: The work environment is very noisy, near active aircraft engines and ground support machinery, and may involve exposure to fumes, dust, and other airborne particles. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is usually provided and required. 

    Union Information
    This position is part of a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).   Per the CBA, work schedules are awarded based on seniority. New hires are awarded their initial shift based on operational need.  Therefore, the company cannot guarantee certain days off.
