Job Description
Proper Change Management is a critical success factor to growth at McDonald’s. We support Change at McDonald’s through the formation of a McDonald’s Change Center of Excellence (COE). The Change COE partners with leaders to enable the human side of transformation, ensuring people adopt the changes needed to promote the long-term success of our business. McDonald’s Change COE is seeking a Director, Change Management who will translate complex business needs into change management objectives, plans, resources, and long-term goals. This director will lead key strategic aspects such as operating model activation, change capability development, talent strategy and leadership alignment within the Change COE. Additionally, the Director guides and influences the Change Management solution design and delivery of change services. This role will report to Sr. Director – Change COE Lead within the Global People function.
What will you do?
Drive Adoption with One McDonald’s Way of Doing Change
- Maintain an understanding of Change and how it contributes to broader McDonald’s strategy and priorities
- Define and socialize McDonald’s Change COE strategy
- Spearhead change management processes and deliverables
- Works with functional business partners to understand and shape the scope, timeline, change impacts, and other requirements of change intake requests related to functional/market alignment [connection with additional HR Partners/IOs/Stakeholders]
- Understand the business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work
- Align and leverage the collective resources of the Global People function to deliver on strategic COE plans
- Facilitate delivery of Change leveraging McDonald’s Change framework, methodology, and resources
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and incorporate feedback on value realization inputs/outputs such as KPI development & measurements
- Lead or participate in change management projects as needed
- Work to implement strategies for effecting and managing change and helping people to adapt to changes
- Support Change Partners with the development of an appropriate change plan, designed based on business inputs including stakeholder analysis, and change impacts
Develop and Mentor your People
- Act as a coach and mentor to develop junior resources and establish a coaching culture in the COE
- Provide clarity for the team to understand the big picture, broader McDonald’s strategy/ context
- Nurture the careers of others by continuing to mentor practitioners
Support growth of Change knowledge across the Enterprise
- Gain understanding of Change Framework and drive Change capability development of partners, practitioners, and business leaders
- Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs with internal and external partners.
- Actively identify influential partners and ways to inspire change initiatives on specific projects

The expected salary range for this role is $168,350 - $218,860 per year

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, human resources, or related field required, Master’s degree in same field preferred.
- Ten years minimum experience in Change management required.
- Experience in strategic advisory, change management, managing multiple program and project teams, and/or executing large-scale Change or Transformation projects for clients and business customers in relevant industries preferred. This role requires ability to maintain influence with Business leaders to drive alignment and ascertain we have the right Business engagement.
- Advanced to master level project, portfolio, and change management skills required.
- Comfort with Word, PowerPoint and collaborative technologies; high Excel proficiency is required.
