Job Description
The AP & AR Manager is responsible for the direction, execution and performance of the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams.
A successful AP & AR Manager will have strong technical expertise within the AP and AR functions, as well as a broad knowledge of other functional areas within Finance. You will have a strong ability to solve unique and complex problems in relation to our debtors, Franchisees and suppliers, and be skilled in building strong relationships based on mutual respect and trust. The ability to think proactively, identify potential future problems and develop methods to address current and future customer needs with a positive “can-do” attitude will be essential for success.
What will my key accountabilities be?
- Effectively and efficiently manage the daily workflow of both teams.
- Oversee and support the business’s credit card expense management process
- Respond to supplier, debtor and internal queries
- Set KPI’s for the team that align with overall team objectives and focus on continuous improvement
- Manage weekly payment runs and ad hoc payments
- Manage the team to provide direction, leadership and process discipline
- Escalation point for any Franchise queries regarding monthly charges.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure all activities maintain SOX compliance
- Coordinate with internal and external compliance to facilitate periodic audits and monitor and ensure completion of any corrective action required.
- Monthly review of reconciliations
- Monthly and quarterly reporting
- Monthly KPI reporting
- Maintain the market authorisation approval matrix and online approval system
- Provide clear direction and support to the team to achieve set KPI’s
- Regularly review the work of direct reports and provide constructive feedback to ensure accuracy of work

Desirable
- Concur, Oracle Cloud and SOX experience will be highly regarded.
- Prior experience leading a high volume Accounts Payable and/or Receivable team
