Job Description

In this role, you will:  

  • Contribute to the development of a long-term CRM and Loyalty program measurement and analytics framework for the US, in collaboration with internal Analytics & Insight COE team and cross-functional leadership.
  • Manage and execute against key deliverables in a fast paced environment.
  • Manage relationships with external advanced analytics and data science agencies, inclusive of managing external deliverables and setting priorities.
  • Use basic statistical concepts (linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, etc.) to understand impact of various behavioral variables on sales and other critical metrics that we use to measure success of our investments.
  • Create and present analytics findings/insight to marketing and functional leadership. Storytelling is extremely important for this role so that we ensure insight is understood and used broadly across the key partners.
  • Provide leadership and technical consulting to enable detailed, data-based recommendations and insight to senior members of US Marketing and Owner Operator leadership.
  • Develop and manage sophisticated methods of analyzing our customer data, including creating proper hypotheses and measurement strategies across our Owned and Paid channels with the intent of gaining a deep understanding of our growth drivers.
  • Liaise with Global Technology to ensure supporting infrastructure is set up for success.
  • Collaborate with global market Analytics & Insights leads to share methodologies and expertise.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Math, Computer Science or similar
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Related work experience and results oriented performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication techniques- both formal and informal
  • Experience explaining complex concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Detailed understanding of the digital world, with preference towards Retail and QSR
  • Previous corporate or consulting experience in managing sophisticated analytical projects in large cross-functional organizations such as retail, restaurant or food service, CPG, financial services, etc.
  • Previous experience with complex CRM and Loyalty programs, including the analyses and data that drive success
  • Hands-on experience with analytical techniques like regression (multivariate, logistic, etc.), customer modeling (segmentation, CLV, propensity modeling), forecasting (demand, sales), baselining, etc.
  • Knowledge and expertise working with relational databases and large datasets. We have a multi-cloud architecture at McDonald’s, so experience with both AWS and GCP environments a plus
  • Ability to independently own and drive multiple work streams, often balancing competing and changing priorities
  • Strong academic qualifications, including advanced understanding/coursework in Math, Statistics, Business, Technology, or related field
  • Proficiency in one or more statistical programming languages (R, Python, SAS) and in creating complex queries in SQL
  • Proficient in Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • Experience with Alteryx a plus
  • Proficient in PowerPoint / Excel
