About the role

Our Public Liability team supports people who have been injured in public places due to the negligence of others, helping them understand their rights and pursue the compensation they may be entitled to.

We're seeking a Senior Legal Assistant to join our Public Liability practice on a permanent full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support a passionate team of lawyers who advocate for clients through what can often be one of the most challenging times in their lives.

As a Senior Legal Assistant, you will provide high-quality administrative and legal support to one of our Principal Lawyers within the Public Liability team while delivering an exceptional experience for our clients.

You will play a key role in keeping matters progressing smoothly and ensuring clients feel supported and informed throughout their claim.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional client service and stakeholder support.
  • Maintain strong client, referrer, and external relationships.
  • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Support court preparation, hearings, and related documentation.
  • Manage electronic and hard copy files accurately.
  • Coordinate briefs, reports, and expert documentation.
  • Complete administrative, finance, and accounts tasks.
  • Mentor, train, and support team members.
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve issues proactively.
  • Maintain compliance, confidentiality, and professional standards.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and is able to work autonomously.

You'll bring:

  • Legal administration experience with common law litigation exposure
  • Previous Personal Injury Law experience, ideally within Public Liability
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Advanced technical and administrative skills
  • Takes ownership of own professional development
  • Shares knowledge and learning with others
  • A detail-oriented approach to tasks
  • Ability to stay calm and work at an optimum level in high pressure situations
