The role

Are you looking to start your career in the legal sector while making a genuine difference? We’re seeking a motivated and people‑focused Trainee Legal Assistant to join our regional team, based in either Bundaberg or Rockhampton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong customer service experience who is eager to learn, develop new skills and gain hands‑on exposure in a professional legal environment. We’re open to full‑time, part‑time or job share arrangements, making this role ideal for a variety of circumstances.

The opportunity

In this entry‑level role, you’ll provide high‑quality administrative, reception and legal support to our legal teams, while being the first point of contact for clients and visitors. With guidance and training, you’ll build a solid foundation for a future career in law or professional services.

This role is offered on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous customer service experience (essential)
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, empathetic manner
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A willingness to learn and take guidance in a legal environment
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and general digital systems
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively in a team
  • A strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism

Experience in a legal, corporate reception or administrative role is desirable but not essential.
