Job Description

Position Summary

This position will be responsible for all receiving and storage activities as well as inventory management. Key element of this position will be developing and deploying best practices for day-to-day operations.  This includes receiving, storage, inventory control, customer back-to-date recovery, space planning and 3PL management.   The leader will be expected to accomplish this through effective mentoring, coaching and lean practices.   Key objectives will include safety, quality, productivity, cost, customer service and inventory accuracy. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Administer all receiving operations, including unloading, verifying, and sorting deliveries to ensure incoming shipments are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage receiving activities including storage, inventory control, customer backorder recovery, space planning, and third-party logistics (3PL) coordination.
  • Enforce warehouse safety policies and OSHA standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and secure work environment.
  • Implement and support MasterBrand Lean practices including Kaizen events, value stream mapping, A3 problem solving, action planning, and standard work processes.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to monitor workflow, customer service, and storage optimization while identifying and resolving bottlenecks or inefficient material flow.
  • Conduct regular audits of current processes to identify improvement opportunities and promote a continuous improvement mindset across the team.
  • Monitor and control operational costs within the receiving function.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure smooth and accurate material flow and operational alignment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall receiving operations.
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory records by performing audits and reconciling discrepancies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate receiving documentation including packing lists, manifests, and system records.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), SAP, or similar systems to track and manage inventory transactions.
  • Train, mentor, and schedule receiving staff while monitoring performance and providing coaching and development.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or receiving operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management System, WorkDay, or other inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices preferred.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and drive process improvements.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment and stand, walk, bend, and lift materials as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs. occasionally.

1st shift hours: Monday-Thursday 6 am- 4:30 pm
