Job Description

As a Contracts manager, you will manage contractual matters of the project, managing all contract activities and providing appropriate levels of contractual advice whenever required.
You will ensure all contractual activities are carried out to a high standard in accordance with Masdar requirements, and are transparent and supported by appropriate documentation.
You will see to it that all members of the Project teams comply with Masdar governance and undertake audits whenever necessary.

Responsibilities not limited to:

  • Manage negotiation of the terms and conditions with the vendors in order to ensure that Masdar’s interests are safeguarded from a contractual aspect.
  • Develop contracts with the vendors in line with the agreed terms and conditions.
  • Ensure the end user is assisted as and when required in administering contracts as per the agreed terms and conditions.
  • Support Project teams as required in respect to day to day contract management and administration in a proactive manner.
  • Manage the resolution of Project variations, Contractor claims and any other contractual matters as necessary.
  • Manage the drafting and issuing of contractual notices and correspondence, review of project record keeping and maintenance of contractual registers.
  • Monitor vendors’ performance and ensure that products/services are in line with agreed standards and contracts.
  • Monitor contracts on a regular basis and ensure implementation of contractual obligations as per project requirements and that variations are analyzed and issued in accordance with the approved scope.
  • Manage the closing of contracts according to Masdar approved procedures and for the approval of Completion Certificates prior to issue by Project teams.

 

Qualifications

  • MBA or relevant Master’s degree from a top-tier internationally recognized higher education institution OR Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or finance or related field.
  • Atleast 6-8 years experience in contracts in roles involving the management and administration of construction contracts in the construction, industrial, energy / oil and gas or petrochemical sectors or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in managing and administrating renewable energy contract agreements is an asset.
