Job Description

We are looking for an Accountant to join a growing financial management team that provides services to a number of local companies. 

In this role, you will be a key member of the team that supports a growing mid-sized Information Technology company that operates worldwide.  In addition to participating in the full cycle accounting function, you will have exposure to doing business internationally, intercompany transactions, consolidations and foreign exchange.  You will also have the opportunity to provide accounting services for smaller entities such as holding companies and start-ups.  If you are looking for a wide variety of experience and challenges, and thrive on a growing and dynamic environment where you can develop and advance your skills, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities include:

  • Process owner for contract accounting, billing, accounts receivable and billable expense processing.
  • Complete some general accounting items such as backlog reporting, intercompany invoicing and accounting, and Contract / Project administration.
  • Reconcile and prepare journal entries for balance sheet accounts such as intercompany accounts, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable.
  • Work with employees and project teams to provide ad hoc project analysis and reporting.
  • Play a key role in developing new processes and implementing new systems to support a number and variety of companies.

Qualifications

 

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, such as QuickBooks and MS Excel.
  • Interest in process improvement and business systems design.
  • A keen interest to learn and utilize new technologies to improve processes and tasks.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team based environment.
