Job Description
Reporting to the leadership team of the SAP Enterprise Services Business Unit, you will lead the commercial development of Magellan's SAP business.
You have an in-depth understanding of the business models and operating dynamics of IT services companies and SAP system integrators. You combine a consultative approach to client relationships with strong operational and financial management skills across various service delivery models (Time & Materials, Fixed-Price Projects, Service Centers, and Application Management Services).
You will manage a Business Manager and expand our portfolio of key accounts, with a particular focus on SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
Business Strategy and Performance Management
Define and implement the SAP Business Unit's commercial strategy, including target industries, priority accounts, strategic offerings, and growth objectives.
Take ownership of the Business Unit's revenue, order intake, and profitability.
Monitor and manage key performance indicators specific to IT services businesses, including utilization rates, bench management, average daily billing rates, project margins, contract renewals, and revenue forecasts.
Optimize the balance between Time & Materials, Fixed-Price Projects, and Service Center models, while progressively shifting the service portfolio toward higher-value offerings.
Contribute to the development of the Business Unit's service offerings and go-to-market strategy in collaboration with Practice Directors.
Key Account Development
Acquire new strategic accounts and expand existing client relationships, covering the entire SAP services lifecycle: upstream consulting (IT strategy and roadmaps, scoping, business analysis), implementation, S/4HANA migration, Application Management Services (AMS), and managed services, including onshore and offshore delivery.
Secure preferred supplier status with procurement departments and actively manage framework agreements.
Lead strategic presales activities and major deals, including opportunity qualification, RFP response strategy, solution development with Project Directors, pricing, commercial negotiations, and client presentations.
Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with CIOs, business executives, and procurement leaders.
Strengthen partnerships with SAP and its broader ecosystem, including complementary software vendors, strategic partners, subcontractors, and nearshore/offshore delivery providers.
Leadership and Resource Management
Structure or reorganize the sales organization and promote commercial best practices, including prospecting, pipeline management, social selling, and lead generation.
Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and Practice Directors to anticipate staffing requirements, ensure timely consultant deployment, and minimize bench time.
Support consultant satisfaction and retention throughout client engagements, in close collaboration with operational managers.
Represent Magellan within the SAP market through industry events, SAP user groups, and professional networks.
