Job Description
Our Data & Analytics team in MUFG Investor Services (“MUFG”) is looking for a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join us. The successful candidate will be a key part of the Analytics team that was established as part of the strategic expansion and long-term transformation of the finance function. Their role will be to develop data solutions that enhance the overall performance and quality of finance data.
You Will:
- Design and Plan BI Solutions:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and architect data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
- Develop and Implement Solutions:
- Write efficient software code using appropriate languages/systems, such as SQL, Scribe, Microsoft SSIS (DAX or MDX), and Microsoft SSRS.
- Implement BI solutions based on the Fabric product suite and ensure compliance with enterprise architectural standards.
- Actively support the conversion of legacy reporting in excel to new and enhanced views through a scalable reporting solutions.
- Data Preparation & Blending: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources like SQL Server, XML, Excel, and CSV using Alteryx Designer.
- Cloud Infrastructure Expertise:
- Leverage your hands-on knowledge of AWS-based cloud infrastructure to help drive our next phase of cloud adoption. Support the Solutions architect with analysis and input around technical capabilities of the product. design and deploy BI solutions.
- Ensure proper integration with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Master Data Management (MDM) platforms and standards.
- Testing and Troubleshooting:
- Test and troubleshoot Business Intelligence applications to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Document metadata and reporting applications for current and future reference.
- Modern BI Solutions:
- Design and develop modern BI solutions, including Performance Management Dashboards, Business Analytics Models, and Visualizations.
- Provide technical designs and specifications for data integration and storage.
- Automate reporting process, including Power Automate or similar tools to automate data upload, report delivery to specific users etc
- Lifecycle Support:
- Provide full lifecycle support, from implementation to maturity, for BI solutions.
Qualifications
You Have:
- Education: A relevant degree such as Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Certifications: Consider certifications such as PowerBI, SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, UI/UX development.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, Python and experience with BI tools (report builders, ad-hoc queries, OLAP, dashboards, data mining, and predictive modeling).
- Experience with ERP (e.g. Workday) and Databricks will be preferred.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, SSIS
- Familiarity with Fabric product suite and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
