Are you the technician your colleagues call when nobody else can find the fault?

If you've spent years in the workshop tracing electrical faults, reading wiring diagrams and fixing what others gave up on, this role turns that expertise into your full-time job. You won't be holding the tools anymore. Instead, you'll guide dealer and workshop technicians across the Dutch-speaking market through their toughest diagnostic cases, remotely.

MSX International supports leading automotive manufacturers in more than 80 countries, improving repair quality, customer satisfaction and aftersales performance. As part of our technical specialist team, you'll be the expert voice behind the workshops.

What you'll do

• Act as second-level technical support for dealers and independent workshops, resolving complex diagnostic and repair cases by phone and online.
• Find the root cause of technical deviations on mechanical, electrical/electronic, hybrid and electric systems, and guide technicians step by step to a first-time fix.
• Coach dealer technicians, spot their competence gaps and recommend targeted training so the same issue doesn't come back.
• Monitor repair processes and escalated cases, report on dealer performance and propose process improvements.
• Document complex technical issues clearly for the manufacturer's central technical organisation.
• Build lasting relationships with the workshops in your region, always keeping the end customer in focus.

What you must bring (essential)

• At least 3 years of hands-on workshop experience as a Master Technician, Diagnostic Technician or similar, within a dealer network or a professional workshop.
• Proven diagnostic expertise: you're confident with OEM diagnostic tools, wiring diagrams, measurements (multimeter, oscilloscope) and structured fault-finding on vehicle electronics.
• Solid knowledge of current vehicle technology: mechanical systems, electronics, networks/CAN, and hybrid/electric propulsion.
• Fluent Dutch and French, plus good spoken and written English.
• You live in Belgium or the Netherlands and are eligible to work in the EU.

What makes you stand out (a strong plus)

• High-voltage / hybrid qualification (e.g. HEV Level 2 or Level 3, or equivalent).
• Experience in a technical helpdesk or first-level technical support role (L1).
• Experience within an OEM dealer network.
• A diploma in automotive technology or automotive engineering (equivalent field experience is equally valued).
• Experience coaching or training other technicians.
• Good MS Office skills.
