MLSE LaunchPad is a 42,000 sq. ft. Sport For Development facility where youth facing barriers use sport to recognize and reach their potential. Supported by MLSE’s professional sports teams- the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto Argonauts and Toronto FC, it is the first facility of its kind in North America. About the position
You will be working on a collaborative and dynamic team that engages over 1000 young people each year with the support of 16 community partners. This team prides itself on creating the absolute best experience for our community partners and participants, and puts our ‘youth first, always’ value at the core of its work. Our work supports the ‘plus’ of our Sport+ approach to ensure that youth are given the tools to grow and thrive across our four impact pillars!
As Manager of Partnerships & Programs you will guide the strategic planning, design and execution of MLSE LaunchPad’s collaborative program and partnership strategy using an outcomes-focused approach and integrated evaluation. You will act as a critical connector to our community partners, and a core collaborator across our MLSE LaunchPad teams in shaping meaningful, engaging opportunities for the youth we serve.

The team
In this role, you will manage a team of 2 full-time staff members who support MLSE LaunchPad’s work across our four pillars of impact through partnerships. You may also be required to support in the management of students, interns or fellows as needed.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and executing on strategy for the organization’s partnership programs connected with our Health Body, Healthy Mind, Ready for School and Ready for Work pillars.
- Working alongside LP staff in framing and developing program structure and curriculum.
- Engaging MLSE LaunchPad program partners, members and youth to best understand their needs, assets and priority areas for growth and capacity building
- Collaborating across teams to enhance program outcomes for youth and drive alignment to best meet community needs.
- Assisting in conducting ongoing evaluation of our programmatic impact through a variety of methods including surveys, focus groups, and interviews
- Working closely with Measurement and Evaluation team to ensure programs are being refined to achieve key outcomes
- Administering all aspects of partner programs, including budget, staffing, logistics, and the development of internal and funder reports of status, progress and outcomes.
- Supporting the Partnerships & Programs team in successful execution of their portfolios and management of their development.
- Implementing a professional development and learning program to improve employee experience and build a culture of sustained learning.
- Participating in special projects and performing other related duties, as required.

- You build efficient systems that enable you to work quickly, solve problems proactively, and produce outstanding quality work. You’re a strong project manager and comfortable managing significant program budgets (in excess of $100,000) while ensuring alignment with forecasts and expectations. You’re confident using tools like Microsoft office and you're comfortable adapting to changing priorities as needed.

- You have good understanding of the communities we serve and aspire to create equitable, high impact opportunities for their participation. You have familiarity with applying anti-oppressive and anti-racist principles to your work and engage in continued learning in these areas.
You are a clear, confident and thoughtful communicator.

You mentor staff towards success, and are comfortable working across partners, participants and community members of varying ages, cultural backgrounds and lived experiences. You engage both internal and external stakeholders by inviting their insights and report on work in ways that support transparency and accountability.
Extra things that can support your application:
- You have experience leading a portfolio of youth programming connected to one (or more) of our core pillars: Health Body, Healthy Mind, Ready for School and Ready for Work.
- You completed a post-secondary degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Community Engagement or another related field.
- You have a strong understanding of sport for development principles and their application within a youth programming setting.
- You speak a second language.
