How you will make an impact?
You will be joining the Pricing Enablers area, taking on a central role in building, improving, and operating data solutions that support pricing processes across multiple countries. Your focus will be on developing reliable data pipelines, integrating data from different sources, and ensuring that pricing data is available, accurate, and ready to be used by product and business teams.
This role is important for keeping our pricing data flows stable and scalable, from data ingestion and transformation to storage and monitoring. You will work closely with product, engineering, and platform colleagues to deliver practical technical solutions that support business goals and help improve our pricing capabilities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines that support pricing processes and data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and operate backend services and data processing components using modern cloud technologies.
- Work with batch and event-driven data flows, ensuring data is ingested, transformed, validated, and stored correctly.
- Use SQL and cloud data capabilities to prepare clean, structured datasets for reporting, analytics, and operational use cases.
- Ensure data quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability across the pricing data landscape.
- Contribute to CI/CD, containerized deployments, monitoring, and operational improvements for data services.
- Collaborate with product owners, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Work autonomously within the squad and collaborate directly with country representatives to clarify requirements, align priorities, and deliver effective data solutions.
- Support troubleshooting, incident analysis, and continuous improvement of existing data pipelines and services.
Required key competencies and qualifications:
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience building data processing applications or backend services.
- Good knowledge of SQL and BigQuery, with experience working with large datasets in cloud data environments.
- Hands-on experience with GCP, especially data-focused services for ingestion, storage, transformation, orchestration with Cloud Composer (AirFlow) with DBT, and analytics.
- Familiarity with containerization, Google Cloud Run, CI/CD pipelines, and production monitoring.
- Good knowledge of Git for version control; experience with GitHub is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with data quality, data validation, observability, and operational reliability practices.
- Experience working with API-based integrations between internal and external systems.
- Basic understanding of secure configuration management and authentication/authorization concepts (IAM GCP).
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to investigate issues, propose improvements, and deliver reliable solutions.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and cloud resource provisioning.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, working collaboratively in an agile environment.
