We are seeking a Junior Product Control Analyst to support the Product Control function within a fast-paced trading environment. This role is ideal for a recent Finance, Economics, or Quantitative graduate with strong analytical skills and an interest in energy trading, risk management, and financial markets.

You will support the team in producing daily P&L and exposure reporting, investigating data and pricing issues, and developing analytical tools using Power BI, SQL, or Python. The role offers exposure to trading desks, market risk, and finance teams, providing a strong foundation for a career in Product Control, Risk, or Trading Analytics.

Job Description

•  Support the production of daily P&L and exposure reporting
•  Interact with Market Risk, Deal Validation and CFO teams to resolve reporting or data queries
•  Assist in investigating booking or pricing issues in the Endur ETRM system impacting P&L or risk
•  Support maintenance and improvement of valuation and reporting documentation
•  Work with trading desks to help ensure the Endur system of record remains accurate and up to date
•  Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing reporting systems, dashboards, and data processes
•  Assist with MTM and exposure reconciliations and analysis of P&L movements
•  Support monitoring of risk management policies, operational controls, and trading limits
•  Develop understanding of financial and physical options used in energy trading

Qualifications

•  Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
•  0–2 years of experience in Product Control, Risk, Finance, or Middle Office, including internships
•  Progress toward CFA, ACA, or CIMA is advantageous
•  Strong analytical skills and interest in financial markets and trading environments
•  Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, VBA or similar analytical tools is advantageous
•  Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
•  Good communication skills and ability to work with trading, Risk, and Finance teams
