Senior Service Sales Manager - Renewable Assets

MET Group is an integrated European energy company, headquartered in Switzerland, with activities in natural gas and power, focused on multi-commodity wholesale, trading and sales, as well as energy infrastructure and industrial assets. 

The Green Assets Divison's goal is to create a significant, transparent, financially sound green asset portfolio (consisting of solar PV and onshore wind power plants), resulting in positive shareholder return with reasonable risk profile via deep understanding of the energy markets. We are dedicated to build a 2000+ MW – geographically and technologically diversified – green portfolio by 2026 in Europe.

We are looking for a new colleague who has renewable energy - preferably asset management/ O&M - background, and would be keen to take responsibility for driving the service sales offerings of MET Group's Green Assets Division.

The position is based in Milan, Italy. 

Job Description

  • Develop a strategy to enter the Italian renewables O&M market;
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with renewable energy producers to secure O&M and EPC agreements and foster long-term partnerships;
  • Lead initiatives to enhance our service offerings;
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to identify opportunities for growth and innovation;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new service offerings;
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that support both client and company goals;
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences and meetings to showcase our renewable energy initiatives and attract new partners;
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, client feedback, and market insights to the executive team;
  • While the initial and primary scope of the position is Italy, the responsibility can be extended to other European countries where MET has renewable assets;
  • Performing other additional tasks related to the job. 

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, energy or renewable energy engineering, Economics or equivalent experience,
  • Solid understanding of the commercial, technical and economic aspects of renewable power plants;
  • 5+ years of total experience, out of which 2+ years of proven and relevant experience in a sales position for Asset Management services, solar projects' O&M, or main component manufacturers;
  • Efficient in MS office (PowerPoint, MS Projects, Excel, Word etc.);
  • Willing to travel to project sites;
  • Proactive attitude, excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills;
  • Fluent English and Italian language knowledge is required, any additional language knowledge (e.g. Spanish, German or other European language) is an advantage.
