MET International AG (METI) was established in 2010 in order to consolidate and develop MET Group’s international natural gas sales and purchase portfolio, as well as to establish a trading arm for commodity lines. 

METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and power sales affiliates, optimizing its power generation assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions.

• Take ownership of the structured PPA/cPPA platform and the development of MET’s standardized product offering:

1. Pricing and valuation model enhancement (flexibility and balancing models for relevant country’s PPA offtake regimes)
2. Term sheet development and standardization
3. Legal framework development
4. In cooperation with (i) METI Front Office (ii) MET Group subsidiaries (iii) METI support functions

• Build trading and trade execution strategies including cross-border capacity optimization and cross-commodity (CSS) plays for the relevant books
• Position reporting and management (complex trade entries, ETRM operations, PnL control of complex trading strategies)
• Pricing and concluding internal deals with MET Group subsidiaries (standard and non-standard flows)

• Strong educational background in a relevant field (e.g., finance, economics, engineering)
• Proven experience as a power structurer, preferably 2-5 years exposure to PPA’s  
• Sound knowledge of power markets, including supply-demand dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and legal/regulatory frameworks
• Proficient in using trading platforms and market analysis tools
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Programming experience related to financial pricing as well as process optimization
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced trading environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, English & Spanish Mandatory
