We are dedicated to build a 2000+ MW – geographically and technologically diversified – green portfolio by 2026 in Europe.

Job Description

  • Evaluate and generate new investment leads for renewable energy generation projects in Western Europe, with a focus on Germany.
  • Identify, develop, negotiate and execute complex structured transactions to build a well-stock and sustainable project pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key partners (e.g. project initiators, project developers, operators) to access and generate new investment possibilities in renewable power production.
  • Explore existing and new markets in close coordination with local subsidiaries of MET in various European countries.
  • Perform project assessment, including feasibility studies and risk analysis, with support of internal and selected external resources (e.g. technical and legal advisors).
  • Coordinate and interface closely with other internal functions (Renewable Business Analyst / Development Team, M&A Team, Power Trading Desk).
  • Availability to travel across Europe as necessary for the role between 20 to 40%.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Economics, Engineering, Business 
  • 5-6 years of professional work experience in the field of renewables (particularly onshore wind and photovoltaics)
  • Strong understanding of European power market fundamentals, generation assets, market players and market regulations
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Strong commercial mindset and good understanding of financial models
  • High level of initiative and motivation
