Job Description

The purpose of the role

To assist the organization to mitigate risk when dealing with third parties. Will ensure compliance with the Group Compliance Policy covering KYC, Anti Money Laundering, Anti Bribery-Corruption, Countering Financing of Terrorism, Sanctions and Trade Restrictions applying to individuals and activities; interact daily with the business units and manage requests for onboarding from third parties such as government bodies and financial institutions as well as conducting ongoing reviews. Will report to the Group Head of Credit based in Switzerland.

Risk Assessment and onboarding:

  • Assessment of risk and compliance issues associated with counterparts and products      KYC check and approval
  • Third party payment relationships check to fight money laundering risk
  • Review of new customer accounts, verification of identities, due diligence investigations
  • Maintain records up to date

Ongoing screening and monitoring:

  • Resolve positive flags and false hits
  • Keep UBO and PEP files up to date
  • Maintain anti-fraud payment controls
  • Maintain strict controls to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing and any other illicit activities
  • Screen activities and persons for sanction checks    

Inbound onboarding:

  • Manage inbound KYC and due diligence requests from 3rd parties
  • Respond to 3rd party enquiries including government bodies and financial institutions to enable business relationship

Preparation of KPI dashboard:

  • Regularly report on Compliance activities
  • Support the quarterly Policy KPI Dashboard process
  • Interact with senior employees

Qualifications

  • University degree 
  • 4-5 years experience in managing KYC risk gained in large organization or financial institution
  • Understanding of risk and compliance is key
  • Fluent in English
  • Confidence to interact with senior employees
  • Solid decision-making and time management
  • Detail oriented, accurate
