We are currently hiring a Tool & Die Maker on our Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm shift.

Job Description

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This person will perform preventive maintenance, repairs and modifications to stamping & forming equipment at the Jackson TN facility. This person will report to the Tool Room Supervisor. 

Qualifications

  • Ability to meet attendance standards. All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hr week. At times it may be necessary to work additional hours in order to get the required tasks accomplished to meet deadlines. 

  • Highly motivated, well-organized. 

  • Maintain high personal standards of quality. 

  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as effectively communicating with managements.  

  • Excellent problem solving and team motivational skills are a must. 

  • Must be flexibility and adapt to changes in the work environment as well as managing competing demands. May require flexible hours when necessary to reach company goals. 

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with a large variety of individuals, including production personnel, maintenance personnel, manufacturing engineers, management and outside contactors 

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance & repairs on both progressive & single stroke metal stamping dies 

  • Assist in troubleshooting issues with stamping & forming equipment including stamping dies, presses, benders, etc. 

  • Provide feedback on adjustments needed to die PMs to reduce downtime & improve part quality. 

  • Perform general machine shop work using conventional mills, lathes, surface grinders, etc. 

  • Assists in development of new stamping dies & modifications to existing dies to extend life & improve part quality.  

  • Submit purchase requisition for parts & components needed for die repair & maintenance. 

  • Identify critical parts & make recommendations on spares components to inventory.
