Job Summary
Direct the activities of all final assembly lines and paint to achieve the quality, safety, and service goals of the company.
Principal Responsibilities
- Supervise the operations of the assembly and paint teams.
- Build and update production schedules.
- Provide reports on quality and efficiency.
- Look for continuous improvement opportunities to the processes used on the production floor.
- Ensure all employees are aware and following safety policies.
- Verify the safety of all machines and processes in Assembly and Paint.
- Direct and confer with team leaders to meet the weekly ship schedules.
- Work with teams to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain adherence to company and agency policies.
- Recommend and follow through the hiring and releasing of assigned production personnel as required to maintain production schedules.
- Approve and adjust time cards and vacation of assigned employees.
- Make additions and deletions to production schedule when needed.
- Maintain good employee relations and take proper disciplinary actions when required.
- Maintain records of departmental activities and achievements.
- Maintain adherence to BOM and assembly processes.
- Conduct all performance evaluations of assigned employees.
- Hold regular department meetings to go over Safety, Quality, Productivity, and other issues of concern.
- Perform other duties as required or directed.
Qualifications
Competencies
- Good verbal and written communication, leadership, computer.
- Training provided on-site
Education/Experience
- Five years experience in manufacturing setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
