We are currently hiring a Warehouse Inventory Lead for 2nd shift at our Romeoville, IL distribution center. The pay rate is $22.75.00/hour plus a $2.00 shift differential. 

Monday through Friday, 2nd Shift 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm with opportunities for overtime.

Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required. Job Description

Lead a department of 10-15 associates in daily communication meetings and issue each team member their daily workload. Train, motivate, and lead the department to meet all daily production and safety goals while taking direction from the shift supervisor. Take on accountability for all department operations, actions, and results. 

  • Monitor and enforce safety and company policies
  • Assist in the development of department performance and productivity standards
  • Hands-on as needed based on workload and workforce
  • Maintain and update start, hourly, and end-of-shift reports 
  • Attend all department and company meetings as required
  • Assist the Inventory supervisor in directing workflow
  • Provide input for employee evaluations
  • Complete and/or coordinate department projects as assigned
  • Maintain good housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Good judgment and decision making
  • Ability to use computers and associated software programs, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to be certified to operate a forklift (Order Picker, Sit-down, or Walkie-Rider)
  • Ability to understand the basic throughput of a logistics operation
  • Adept knowledge of RF Scanners/Systems
  • Proven leadership of 10 or more people in a warehouse setting
  • Shipping and/or receiving experience
  • High school diploma and/or equivalent experience in warehousing
