Job Description
SUMMARY: Primary function is to supervise and direct the production of stamped components through optimizing the use of production team members and equipment. Manages the production operation working to ensure product quality and achieve production schedules.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides direction and leadership in the resolution of technical and production related problems to assure completion of weekly schedules.
- Works to resolve technical and production related problems to meet quality standards and delivery requirements.
- Adheres to all safety and quality requirements.
- Oversees and/or performs operator assigned preventative maintenance work necessary in maintaining stamping presses and other fabrication equipment.
- Trains machine operators on procedures, methods, problem solving, programming, quality requirements and safety.
- Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays.
- Works with engineering and the tool room to perform trial runs for die modifications and new tooling qualifications

JOB PREREQUISITES:
- Ability to meet attendance standards. All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hr week. At times it may be necessary to work additional hours in order to get the required tasks accomplished to meet deadlines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Candidate must have a minimum of five years experience supervising a high volume production stamping department.
Experience applying lean manufacturing principals and techniques to a stamping department.
Mechanical aptitude including the set up and operation of stamping presses and related fabrication equipment.
