Job Description

The Associate Director of Global Patient Recruitment is accountable for the supervision and direction of the Patient Recruitment team, optimizing utilization of internal resources across projects to improve gross profit at the project level and reduce reliance on third-party providers.

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused recruitment solutions for both global qualitative and quantitative market research initiatives. The Associate Director works collaboratively with Sales, Client Services, and Panel to design and implement scalable, compliant, and efficient custom recruitment strategies that maximize internal capabilities, minimize outsourcing requirements, and ensure exceptional experiences for patients, caregivers, and advocacy partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead patient recruitment strategy, ensuring clear processes and guidelines are in place and followed, with the aim to reduce outsource cost and grow M3 Global Research patient panels.
  • Strategize panel recruitment across US and EU markets to increase overall patient panel size focusing on patient audiences that will lead to higher profitability and delivery to the business.
  • Assist team in strategizing and introducing new custom recruitment options, to expand our recruitment options, as well as continuously investigating ways to improve our gross profit on a project level.
  • Join internal kick-off calls and project meeting to discuss fieldwork strategy, and help develop plans for execution, and continuously monitoring to ensure the project plan is carried out.
  • Monitor the results of improvements to patient recruitment initiatives and share audit reports with team leaders to enable accountability and further process enhancement and adoption.
  • Manage, mentor, appraise and develop allocated staff, ensuring they are working effectively and meeting KPIs.
  • Support the digital recruitment strategy by leveraging affiliate partners, referral campaigns, social media, patient associations, group recruitment, and display advertising to increase project completes and grow patient panels.
  • Assess technology requirements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency in patient recruitment strategies.
  • Lead or participate in applicable taskforces or working groups that will help promote business objectives (gross profit, third-party cost reduction, etc.).
  • Partner with other M3 companies to strategize synergies that could further enhance project feasibility.
  • Conduct internal audits to evaluate staff adherence to patient recruitment processes and quality across the project lifecycle, deliver reports and propose actionable plans and processes to improve project level profit and clients and panelists satisfaction.
  • Support the recruitment and engagement of patient support groups and patient associations, ensuring that strategic collaboration is in place and long-term partnerships are created
  • Support the design, execution, and continuous improvement of global patient panel growth strategies, ensuring sustainable increases in registrations, reactivations, and unique participants across all markets.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in market research
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quantitative or Qualitative Market Research Project Management or Fieldwork preferably on Patient and/or Consumer projects
  • Minimum of 2 years managing a staff of 3+ employees

Knowledge, Skill, Ability:

  • Extensive experience in an active Quantitative or Qualitative Project or Panel Management role in a patient/healthcare market research field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of patient recruitment and securing hard to reach patient targets.
  • Thorough understanding of domestic and international market research projects.
  • Ability to lead a team made up of both junior and senior team members.
  • Self-motivated and able to (re)prioritize tasks throughout the workday
  • Exceptional time management, organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Well-developed analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team environment to successfully meet study specific and departmental objectives.
  • The candidate must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • The candidate must have very strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook and Word, and be a quick learner of new technologies/software.
  • This candidate is expected to demonstrate enthusiasm and pride in constantly improving the quality of M3’s services. Serving as an internal advocate to monitor and ensure compliance with M3’s ISO quality management system. The candidate must adhere to all processes and relevant guidelines.
