Job Description

pharma-insight is seeking a General Manager to join our growing market research team. The General Manager is responsible for managing the office and day-to-day operational needs. The General Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of fieldwork and all supporting functions. He/She will take the lead on any HR/IT/Finance/Legal needs and most importantly Fieldwork integration with M3 Global Research.

The position is based in our Hilden office.  

We are seeking a talented, ambitious problem-solver who is excited to help us grow our business and deliver customer oriented solutions and services.  The ideal candidate for this position will be a commercial manager or commercial team leader with management experience, and significant experience in the services branch - ideally in pharma, healthcare, and/or life sciences with an interest in operational business needs.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support with any organisational change
  • Improve financial management and work closely with tax advisor 
  • Build on existing business processes and systems to ensure smooth running operationally
  • Prepare for expansion and support people development
  • Oversee operational needs for HR, IT, Finance and Legal
  • Be responsible for contracting, pricing, and negotiation with our clients 
  • Be responsible for the recruitment strategy ensuring the right talent is attracted and maintained within the business and collaborate with the HR department of M3 Global Research 
  • Identify business improvement opportunities and helping implement any relevant changes
  • Understand internal and external factors that could present opportunities to the business

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree in business administration, economic sciences, legal studies, health economics, or a comparable field of study
  • Extensive professional experience (at least 5 years) in service brach or institute market research, ideally in the medical / pharmaceutical field
  • Fluent in both English and German
  • Ideal experience in management of a small team
  • Proficiency in Excel, and PowerPoint, ideally in DATEV
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business acumen and a desire to proactively seek out innovative ways to contribute to pharma-insight’s growth
