Job Description

Overall Purpose and Objective of Position

As Manager, Collaboration & Unified Communications, you will own the global strategy, roadmap, governance, and continuous improvement of LDC's collaboration and communication platforms. This includes Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Copilot, telephony, conferencing, and related enterprise communication solutions.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure these platforms remain secure, scalable, user-focused, and aligned with business priorities. You will drive innovation, adoption, service excellence, and business value realization across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own the lifecycle, roadmap, governance, and evolution of collaboration and unified communications solutions, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Stream, Loop, Microsoft 365 Copilot, telephony, conferencing, and corporate communication platforms.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, regional IT teams, architects, vendors, and service providers to align technology capabilities with business needs and strategic priorities.
  • Manage global demand, enhancement requests, service changes, and regional requirements, ensuring effective prioritization and delivery.
  • Lead solution delivery and implementation projects, including planning, budgeting, resource coordination, risk management, and successful transition into support.
  • Drive adoption and user value by promoting best practices, improving employee experience, and enabling effective use of collaboration technologies.
  • Define and maintain governance for Microsoft 365 collaboration services, including Copilot adoption, SharePoint lifecycle management, Teams usage, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled productivity improvements.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, vendors, and service providers, ensuring performance against agreed service levels and business objectives.
  • Partner with service delivery and support teams to improve service reliability, resolve escalations, reduce recurring issues, and enhance operational performance.
  • Ensure effective change management, solution documentation, service transition, and compliance with governance standards. 
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities across related technologies and projects, driving proactive mitigation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience designing, deploying, managing, or supporting enterprise collaboration and communications solutions in a global environment.
  • 3+ years of experience managing collaboration and/or unified communications platforms, preferably Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and service providers.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale technology projects.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Preferred

  • Microsoft 365 certifications or hands-on expertise with Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
  • Experience with cloud telephony, Direct Routing, Operator Connect, Teams Rooms, or Session Border Controllers.
  • Knowledge of Copilot agents, chatbots, workflow automation, and AI-driven productivity solutions.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams Phone, automation, and AI-powered productivity tools.
  • Solid understanding of IT service management, vendor management, budgeting, and service governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead multiple initiatives in a complex global environment while driving continuous improvement and innovation
