Job Description
Brief:
LDC Coffee Platform requires a middle-office role focused on Execution and Compliance with regulation and Certification requirements. This function will operate in close collaboration with the EMEA Coffee Platform Sustainability team, Coffee Internal Execution hubs and customers
The role will primarily focus on meeting EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation) requirements for LDC and its clients, while also supporting the commercial reporting for certification programs, as needed.
Key responsibilities include ensuring proper structuring and control of trades and related documentation for LDC and clients, managing announcements in dedicated portals and systems, and responding to client queries.
Main Responsibilities:
EUDR
- Support LDC Suisse Coffee Business (Traders, Execution, and Sustainability) in order to ensure compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation for all the shipments to Europe.
- Identify documentation requirements (Due Diligence Statements, geolocations, etc.) to satisfy delivery/sale requirements, according to the specifications of each client.
- Maintain strict control over EUDR contracts to ensure the timely delivery of information to the clients.
- Comply with main clients’ requirements to upload data and documents in their own portals or third-party vendor portals.
- Manage requests coming from internal execution team and clients.
- Collection and verification of documents from Sourcing / Origination teams
- Ensure proper internal record keeping (Tidily and diligently store documents)
OTHER CERTIFICATIONS
- Manage all certification portals for receiving and sending announcements according to the traceability rules of each certificate (RFA, 4C & Fairtrade) for LDC Suisse.
- Maintain strict control over the execution of certified trades to ensure the timely delivery of documentation to the clients.
- Support LDCS external audits with documentary evidence and reconciliation of transactions done.
- Liaise with LDCS Traders, Contract Desk, Coffee Sustainability Team, Coffee Origins and Execution for required support to the administration of the sustainability certificates
- Provide KPIs of executed contracts of LDC Suisse related to Sustainable Certified coffee.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience:
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral in English – Additional languages would be a plus, Spanish ++)
- Good interpersonal skills to coordinate work with multiple stakeholders
- Experience dealing with clients across multiple markets
- Organizational skills
- Proficiency skills in Microsoft Excel and database systems
- 1/2 years in international trade or commodity logistics a plus
Technical/Functional Skills:
- Effective analytical skills and ability to validate Data quality
- Operational expertise in international coffee trading (desired)
- Ability to work with multiple digital platforms
- Technical knowledge in data management tools is a plus.
