Job Description
Overall Purpose and Objective of Position
Apply analytical and business skills to effectively develop, test, execute, and validate efficient processes within the realm of the LSA. Assist LSA leadership within all functions of the LSA, including process improvement and reporting, as well as documenting standard operating procedures.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
· Identify, develop, and execute LSA processes and operating systems that improve efficiency and accuracy within the department.
o LSA payment structure maintenance – ensure the integrity of farm information, payees, and shares as provided by gins/submitters.
o LSA purchase invoicing – establish relationships and streamline processes with gins, agents, warehouses, and producers; validate system calculations and provide excellent customer service.
o LSA Inventory Management – monitor and improve process from receipt of collateral to application to purchase; reconcile inventory to electronic third-party providers.
o LSA Payables - monitor domestic payable accounts; discuss & resolve discrepancies with traders, buyers, and accounting.
o Work with gins/producers to enroll users on the website, as well as actively get producers signed up for ACH payments.
o Focus on cost-saving measures, including making efforts to go paperless wherever possible.
o Improve all aspects of the LSA including the website and promoting the LSA for customers.
o Resolve discrepancies in accounting files and inventory immediately to ensure a smooth payment process.
o Work with LSA Manager and other team members to promote, expand, and improve functions of the LSA.
· Perform user testing and provide documentation for system developments and enhancements.
· Perform or assist with basic daily functions of the LSA and monitor processes to ensure accuracy.
· Perform all related responsibilities as required by management.
· Assist Domestic Execution in other purchase processes as time allows.
Qualifications
Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in Accounting and/or Finance or equivalent work experience considered.
Experience
1 to 3 years’ experience in cotton/Agriculture industry or related field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)
- Experience in cotton or related industry, preferred, and general accounting.
- Broad range of computer skills including functional knowledge of Microsoft programs, especially MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint BI, OneNote, and SharePoint will be beneficial.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects that require attention to detail.
- Knowledge of LDC culture and work environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of domestic sales and purchases, working with an LSA, and cotton industry experience.
- Must have good attendance.
- Must maintain confidentiality of information received.

- Operational training, testing, and reporting of results and recommend resolutions to current issues.
