The FinOps Foundation is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to support and develop ongoing processes to scale our operations for our growing community. If you are interested in being a part of a global team developing a robust training program, then this is the job for you!
The Senior Technical Program Manager responsibilities will spread across operational and tactical areas focused on two core programs, Community Working Group and Enterprise Membership.
Community Working Group Program
Operational
Be the Glue -- center of activity, ensuring forward, timely momentum towards working group proposal plans, increasing cross-functional collaboration, and monitoring/optimizing staffing/tooling needs.
Be the Generalist -- ability to accelerate working group deliverables via contribution. Contribution could include subject matter expertise, providing project management oversight, and/or soliciting interest to boost participation.
Be the Operational interface between the working groups leads, foundation staff, and Governing Board / TAC. This includes establishing foundational working group operations, documentations and training for lead. Measuring key results and tracking status. Managing milestones and deliveries to key stakeholders.
Tactical
Back-end operations: access controls, scheduling, documentation
Drive planning process, perform ongoing monitoring, and complete monthly lead check ins
Enterprise Membership Program
Operational
Be the Coach -- Looking for opportunities to share knowledge and connect community expertise with Enterprise Members.
Be the Consignor - Connect Enterprises to foundation services and programs
Help boost exposure and enhance enterprises visibility within the global FinOps Foundation community and partners.
Curating tailored persona and scaled training to boost adoption
Execute on guided assessment and coaching will accelerate Enterprise
Help Enterprises grow and recruit the best talent to allow Enterprise to create a practice that sustains long term.
Be the Operational interface between Enterprise Members and objective groups program development.
Tactical
Back-end operations: tracking deliverables, scheduling cadence calls, documentation
Drive quarterly business reviews with Enterprise Members and support sale inquires
Qualifications
Qualifications
3-5 years proven experience in similar roles, focusing on aligning external and / or internal organizations and stakeholders
Experience with technical projects
Very strong project management skills
Preferred
Background with FinOps and/or Cloud Computing
