Job Description

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

In this role, you will combine operational excellence with strategic commercial leadership to accelerate complex deals, strengthen partner and alliance motions, and improve market-level performance across India and the broader APAC region.

The Deal Desk team serves as strategic advisors to LinkedIn’s Field Sales team, managing the Order to Cash (O2C) process and facilitating the complex deal structures and requests that our clients demand. We drive scale within the Sales organization, allowing Sales to focus on selling while we create efficiencies, increase profitability, and enforce stronger controls.

Deal Desk Strategists bring deep expertise in LinkedIn’s policies, processes, and systems. They advise, coach, and train Sales representatives to navigate sales processes and policies efficiently. Working closely with Sales and cross-functional partners, this strategist will support LinkedIn’s growth by connecting end-to-end commercial processes, leading complex stakeholder discussions, and building trusted relationships. For this role, we are seeking a strategist with experience in growing the India business and in-depth knowledge on partner and alliance go-to-market motions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned cases and consistently achieve service-level targets of 95% for Initial Response Time (IRT) and 85% for Time to Resolution (TTR).
  • Deliver Deal Desk growth and leverage commitments, including One Desk and Save Desk targets, as well as agreed objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of deals, sales, accounts, and their progress.
  • Influence deal growth, optimize deal structures, and align with business strategies.
  • Identify initiatives to drive meaningful revenue upsides and remove blockers within sales to ensure deals close.
  • Advise the Sales on quoting, pricing strategy, deal flow, commercial models, business terms and conditions, and order processing while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
  • Coordinate discussions with Sales and cross-functional partners to align on contract terms and resolve complex contracting scenarios.
  • Support customer negotiations and commercial discussions, as required, to help advance deals toward closure.
  • Review deals to ensure accuracy and compliance with LinkedIn policies and guidelines, recommending revisions when necessary.
  • Manage relationships with cross-functional partners (eg. Billing, legal, provisioning, credit, revenue, tax) to facilitate deal processing.
  • Communicate to Sales and cross-functional partners to escalate issues and recommend solutions.
  • Perform root cause analyses and gather data to resolve moderately complex issues.
  • Proactively follow up on open issues, remove blockers, and drive requests through to full resolution so that deals can close on schedule.
  • Align stakeholder priorities, deadlines, and timelines to support timely decision-making. Communicate progress, risks, plans, and changes promptly so stakeholders can act and commitments remain on track.
  • Utilize tools and create playbooks to advise sales representatives and identify upsell, cross-sell, and packaging opportunities within individual deals.
  • Track market-level performance, identify trends and risks, and recommend actions to improve commercial outcomes.
  • Implement improvements for team and process performance.
  • Act as a collaborative team member, proactively sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and stepping in to help the broader team and stakeholders when priorities require it.
  • Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
