Job Description
This role will be based in New York, San Francisco or Mountain View, CA.
At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
Our mission. As we enter the biggest transformation of work of our lifetime, the majority of the jobs on this planet will change over the next few years. Figuring out how humans will find their path, and earn a living, is the most important problem in the world right now, and that’s what we’re trying to solve on LinkedIn Search: our mission is to connect every professional to the right people, knowledge, and opportunities.
What this role is: In this role, you will be leading the Search Experience team. You’ll own the end-to-end user experience of what members do on the search results page, blending today’s search results with agentic, AI-powered experiences that understand intent, synthesize insights, enable exploration, and help members take action. Working closely with our ranking teams, you’ll set the vision for transforming today’s search results page into a fast, fluid, and agentic experience. You’ll shape how conversational, multimodal, and personalized interactions make Search more intuitive and valuable for the next generation of LinkedIn members.
What you’ll do: You’ll partner closely with design and engineering (alongside research, marketing, data science and other XFN peers) to reimagine the end-to-end LinkedIn search experience. As an AI-native, full-stack product builder, you’ll make ideas tangible through prototypes, demos, and rapid experimentation rather than lengthy PRDs. You’ll develop a deep understanding of model behavior and failure modes, using research, evaluations, and product judgment to balance quality, trust, latency, inference cost, and member value at 1.3 billion user scale.
Why are we here: Ultimately, behind every successful search at LinkedIn there's a human who's getting one step closer to paying their mortgage, sending their kids to school, starting a small business, or funding their retirement. Your main responsibility is to keep nudging that "successful searches" counter upwards.

- Lead the Search Experience team and own the end-to-end member experience on the search results page, from understanding and exploring results to refining intent and taking action.
- Set the vision and roadmap for evolving LinkedIn Search from ranked results into a fast, fluid, and agentic AI experience.
- Build conversational, multimodal, and personalized experiences designed for Gen Z and AI-native members.
- Partner closely with design and engineering, alongside research, data science, product marketing, and ranking teams.
- Operate as an AI-native product builder, bringing ideas to life through prototypes, demos, and rapid experimentation.
- Develop a deep understanding of model behavior and failure modes, balancing quality, trust, latency, inference cost, and member value.
- Define success metrics and use research, evaluations, UI experiments, and product judgment to improve successful search outcomes at billion-member scale.
