Job Description

This role will be based in Mountain View, California.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. 

The Senior Specialist, HR Operations delivers end-to-end customer-focused HR solutions, supporting employees, alumni, partners, and stakeholders through accurate guidance, thoughtful escalation management, and high-quality service delivery. 

Working closely with members of the Global Talent Organization and Benefits team, the Senior Specialist brings broad HR Operations knowledge and contributes to the planning and delivery of day-to-day HR service delivery activities. 

The Senior Specialist helps keep HR Operations on track to deliver a high-quality customer experience, supporting efficient execution and consistent adherence to LinkedIn processes, culture, and values. 

Responsibilities:    

  • Deliver expert benefits, perks, and leave support for employees in the U.S. and Canada, ensuring compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations. 

  • Serve as a primary escalation point for complex benefits, perks, and leave issues, resolving cases efficiently and professionally in alignment with established processes. 

  • Maintain strong relationships with employees, stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional partners, collaborating across teams to ensure timely service, clear handoffs, and consistent delivery within SLAs. 

  • Audit and maintain data integrity in HR systems and tools, ensuring accurate and complete information. 

  • Communicate process status, updates, and issues clearly to clients and partners. 

  • Support and administer HR programs, policies, and processes related to benefits, perks, and leaves of absence. 

  • Identify trends in employee inquiries, case data, and operational processes; recommend solutions and implement improvements to enhance service delivery, compliance, and employee experience. 

  • Keep training materials, knowledge articles, and SOPs up to date; train team members on best practices. 

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to address process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Represent HR Operations on regional and global projects as needed. 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

Basic Qualifications:   

  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, HR benefits operations, or a similar HR Operations role supporting benefits programs. 

  • Experience working in a large global shared services environment or HR Operations team. 

  • Experience with HRIS, case management, and benefits administration systems (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow, or similar platforms). 

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate data and operational insights into actionable recommendations. 

  • Experience with knowledge management principles and systems   

  • Strong customer service orientation with proven ability to provide accurate, timely, and empathetic support in a shared services or case management environment. 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with discretion. 

  • Familiarity with benefits vendor management and escalations with benefits providers. 

  • Ability to interpret and apply policies consistently while maintaining flexibility 

  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and contribute to automation or efficiency initiatives

The pay range for this role is $90,000-146,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
