Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
This role will be based in Amsterdam.

LinkedIn Marketing Solutions is a key growth driver for LinkedIn’s business and has ambitious growth plans for the years ahead.
Within our Marketing Solutions business, our sales teams are responsible for identifying new ways to deliver customer value through the discovery, expansion and activation of buying groups, budget decision makers and budget influencers within our existing large customer base. Our sales teams are deeply knowledgeable about the marketing, communications and advertising ecosystems and are structured by vertical, with each team having deep expertise in their respective fields (Tech, Financial Services, Education, Retail etc.).
Our next phase of growth requires a dynamic leader for our Benelux Large Customers Sales team.
We are seeking a leader who is passionate about developing and motivating world-class talent, thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, deeply curious about how effective marketing drives business growth, enthusiastic about building and maintaining C-Level customer and agency relationships, and can inspire those around them whilst upholding LinkedIn’s Culture & Values.
Reporting to the Senior Director of our Western Europe & Israel Large customers LMS business, this leader will build and scale a world-class Large Customer sales team and sit on the Europe & Israel LMS Leadership Team, influencing all aspects of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Builds, plans and communicates an inspiring strategy for the Benelux Large Customers Team, which is aligned with the LMS Strategy, ensuring we have a consistent approach to the way we sell and unlock value for our customers and agency partners.
- Consistently delivers results that achieve and redefine the potential of the business.
- Leverage data to inform and drive overall business strategies.
- Maintains C-Level customer, agency and industry relationships.
- Leverage C-Level relationships to open doors to new strategic business opportunities.
- Influences product enhancements, collaborating closely with marketing, product and other cross functional teams to share customer insights that inform future product developments.
- Partners closely with their peers and other LMS segment leaders to ensure the regular sharing of best practice, vertical expertise, customer insights, research and go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborates deeply with Insights, Product, Product Marketing, Marketing, Go To Market Enablement, Go To Market Operations, Brand Strategy and Customer Experience.
- Effectively plans and forecasts the business, within a small margin of error.
- Hires, develops and retains exceptional sales talent.
- Transforms the performance of the team through inspiration, motivation, upskilling and coaching, bringing innovation to the sales process to accelerate our share of market.
- Inspires the team by role modelling mastery of the role, the market and sales craft.
- Build a clear and comprehensive understanding of LinkedIn’s products, business model, customer marketplace and organisational structure.
- Consistently monitors the sales activity of the team and tracks results, working with leaders to ensure accountability for sales performance.
- Understand and embodies LinkedIn’s Culture and Values .
- Partner with our Corporate Communications team to regularly represent LinkedIn Marketing Solutions to the media
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience of managing advertising sales teams selling into medium to large customers across multiple industries, including managing managers and developing teams.
- 5+ years’ leadership experience within matrix environments.
- Fluent in Dutch and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with marketing products.
- Deeply understands the needs of marketers, agencies and advertising technology partners.
- Understands macro-economic and industry trends and how they impact the LinkedIn advertising ecosystem and investment opportunities from our customers & agencies.
- Excellent commercial acumen.
- Experience leading enterprise sales managers and leaders and consistently meeting and exceeding revenue goals.
- Passion for leadership through inspiration, compassion, and managerial excellence.
- Expertise in the understanding and application of relevant sales methodologies.
- Excellent customer management skills with a history of strong customer relationships, customer advocacy and driving mutually successful outcomes.
- Strong oral/written communication, presentation skills, conflict resolution and negotiating skills.
- Build and champion a culture of belonging and growth, through inclusive management and a strategy of diversity, inclusion and belonging (DIBs).
- Applies a clear prioritisation criteria and impact assessment framework to make decisions and act.
- Intellectually curious, emotionally intelligent, resilient, passionate, doesn’t take themself too seriously and likes to have fun.
