Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
We’re seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in São Paulo. In this role, you’ll partner with both internal teams and external service providers to manage the accounting operations for our LATAM entities, with a primary focus on Mexico. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end accounting processes, revenue recognition, internal and statutory reporting, and financial compliance.
Responsibilities:
Own and deliver accurate month-end and quarter-end closes within deadlines
Oversee SOX compliance and monitor key financial controls
Manage P&L and balance sheet for assigned legal entities
Perform reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate cross-functionally
Prepare internal management reports and financial commentary
Support Brazil external audit, working closely with the Brazil entity lead to ensure timely and accurate responses to audit requirements
Contribute to the preparation of local GAAP financial statements
Support internal and external audits for both US GAAP and local standards
Drive continuous process improvements and automation initiatives
Assist with procurement, expense reporting, and other operational finance tasks
Partner closely with business stakeholders across the region
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Certified accountant
3+ post-qualification accounting in a multi-currency environment and international operations
3+ years experience working with IFRS and accounting regulations
3 + years experience in MS Excel (Complex Functions & Formulas, Data Analysis & Pivot Tables)
Fluency in Portuguese and English
Preferred Qualifications:
Working proficiency in Spanish
Experience dealing with statutory and tax issues
ERP Software experience: Oracle, Totvs Protheus, and expertise with Blackline and Workday
US GAAP knowhow
Able to improve productivity using automation
Experience working across cultures and geographies
Goal-oriented with teamwork skills
Good written and verbal English communication skills and experience directly interacting with leaders
Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision, particularly now while working from home
Ability to integrate quickly into new teams and companies
