Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Service Desk Tools Project Manager to join our team at Patuxent River, MD. 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • DoD Secret Clearance required
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

Our Service Desk Tools Project Manager will serve as the project lead for IT Service Management (ITSM) tools. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day and long-term enterprise service delivery across multiple environments and helping propel continuous improvement through service delivery.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide program and project oversight for ITSM-related efforts, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. 
  • Lead the coordination and facilitation of internal and external meetings, ensuring action items and deliverables are tracked and completed. 
  • Develop and maintain ITSM project plans and roadmaps to align with the government's mission objectives. 
  • Identify and communicate system and project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and escalate critical issues when necessary. 
  • Provide after-hours and weekend support coordination for system maintenance, patches, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • Must have a BA/BS in computer science, information technology, or related fields. 
  • Must have an Operating System environment certification (e.g., Win10, Win11, MS Server). 
  • Must have at least 10 years of relevant IT Service Management configuration and technical leadership. 

Preferred:

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $130,000

Several factors influence the final salary or hourly rate, including but not limited to contract wage determinations, relevant work experience, role-specific skills and competencies, geographic location, educational background, certifications, and federal government contract labor categories.

Additional Information

This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of the government contract and the completion of ongoing negotiations. We anticipate these processes will be completed by June 2026, at which time interviews and offers will be extended upon successful contract award.
