Job Description

Purpose: The Consumer Marketing Manager (CMM) is responsible for planning, executing, and improving all demand generation activities that drive business to the fastest growing segment of the company. The role requires expertise in several areas including inbound marketing, campaign strategy, content development, CRM management, customer journey mapping, Google AdWords and Analytics, staff and program management, and data analysis. The CMM must be creative, flexible, deadline-oriented, and able to work effectively with the other members of the Sales and Marketing leadership team, as well as stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Manage a small and growing team responsible for all consumer engagement programs 
  • Contribute to developing the consumer marketing strategy  
  • Generate leads to ensure quarterly and annual consumer marketing goals are met 
  • Develop and write content and campaigns that drive consumer business 
  • Help create and enforce messaging, tone, and brand guidelines 
  • Create and adhere to an annual editorial calendar to ensure there is a consistent campaign flow 
  • Monitor campaign performance and make iterative improvements 
  • Monitor HubSpot workflow performance 
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to manage Google AdWords spend, social media, and content development 
  • Work closely with the Clinical Marketing team to ensure clinical accuracy and brand alignment 
  • Work closely with the Consumer Sales team to ensure lead quality remains high and develop ways of integrating consumer programs into the sales process 
  • Develop downloadable content that builds the consumer database 
  • Oversee and support our two flagship consumer programs: Virtual Connections (VC) and The Aphasia Community 
  • Work with the VC / Community Manager to promote engagement on these platforms, drive higher daily active users, and develop content and campaigns to support this effort 
  • Engage regularly with our consumer programs to understand their experience and stay in touch with user needs/wants 
  • Coordinate with other department/team managers for insight into our products, customers, and projects 
  • Understand the customer journey and manage/develop content assets accordingly 
  • Develop tactics that convert users of our consumer programs to prospects for our device business 
  • Capture and promote customer success stories 
  • Report weekly KPIs to ensure quarterly/annual goals are met 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Able to build a strong, high performing team 
  • Proficiency in HubSpot (preferred) or other CRM 
  • Strong command of Google Analytics and AdWords 
  • Able to analyze KPIs to make decisions and improvements 
  • Understanding of integrated, content marketing tactics 
  • Able to think/work independently and take initiative 
  • Able to be a team player and work with other teams 
  • Results oriented, self-directed and self-motivated  
  • Willing to take on new challenges 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and related work experience)  
  • Five to seven years of experience successfully managing consumer marketing campaigns required, preferably in a healthcare setting  
  • Two to four years managing multiple direct reports (strongly preferred) 
  • Able to multitask with impeccable attention to detail 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint 

Additional Information

Travel Requirements:

May work remotely from home.  Travel to the Princeton, NJ office is required 2x / year for team off-sites and annual company meeting. Occasional travel throughout the year within the continental United States for tradeshows and other marketing activities is also required. (As a Durable Medical Equipment provider, proof of full Covid-19 vaccination is required to attend in-person meetings/gatherings, and therefore is a requirement of this position).
